Black-pot fish, scientifically named pomfret, belongs to a fish of pomfret family. Also known as black pomfret, iron pomfret or black pomfret. The mullet is mainly distributed from the northern coast of the Indian Ocean to the coastal areas of Korea, Japan and China. It belongs to pelagic fish in tropical and subtropical waters. The body shape of the mullet is rhombic, with a flat side and a significant vertical height. The mouth is small and slightly inclined, and there are a row of sparse pointed teeth in the upper and lower jaws.
