There are four varieties of osmanthus, golden laurel, silver laurel, tanqueray and four-season laurel.

1. Golden Laurel

Golden Laurel is an evergreen tree with a large shape and upright branches. The color of its leaves is dark green, very glossy, and it is relatively common in life. Golden laurel mostly blooms in the fall, and the flower color has lemon yellow and golden yellow. The main varieties of golden laurel are late golden laurel, big leaf golden laurel, big leaf yellow, tooth leaf golden laurel and so on.

2. Silver laurel

Silver laurel is also a kind of evergreen tree plants, branches and leaves, the shape is very similar to the snowflake, the leaves are mostly green, the leaf surface of the wider and thicker more spreading. Silver laurel blossoms in September, the flower color is mainly pure white, there are also yellowish flowers, with a light fragrance, varieties are mainly seed root laurel, late silver laurel, early silver laurel, white jie and so on.

3. Danggui

Danggui is a kind of evergreen shrub plant, the bark is light gray, the leaves are oval, the leaf surface is relatively flat. Danggui's flowers are mostly orange-red, there are some partial orange-yellow, flower fragrance is not particularly strong, is relatively light. There are fewer varieties of danggui: seeded danggui, broad-leaved red, cinnabar danggui, peach-leaved danggui, broad-leaved red, and toothed danggui.

4. Four Seasons Laurel

The Four Seasons Laurel has a lower tree, with reddish new growth and mostly green old mature leaves. Four-season laurel can bloom several times a year, the blooming time is mainly concentrated in September to March, four-season laurel's flowers have a lighter fragrance. The main varieties are categorized as large-leafed Fo Dingzhu, day-scented osmanthus, and toothed-leafed four-season osmanthus.
