Infectious diseases stipulated in the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases are classified into Class A, Class B and Class C. Class C infectious diseases refer to influenza, mumps, rubella, acute hemorrhagic conjunctivitis, leprosy, epidemic and endemic typhus, kala-azar, echinococcosis, filariasis, infectious diarrhea except cholera, bacterial and amebic dysentery, typhoid fever and paratyphoid fever.
