The late sun and the mountains are beautiful, and the spring breeze is fragrant with flowers and grass. The mud melted and the swallows flew, the sand was warm and the ducks slept.
The river is blue and the birds are white, the mountains are green and the flowers are burning. I'm not sure if I'll be able to get a good look at it, but I'm sure I'll be able to get a good look at it.

This five-verse poem written in Chengdu's Cao Tang (成都草堂), is an extremely poetic and picturesque masterpiece. At the beginning of the poem, the poet begins with a big picture, depicting the clear and gorgeous spring scenery along Runnion Stream under the bright sunshine of early spring, with simple but colorful strokes. "In the second line, the poet further uses the warm spring breeze, the first blossoming flowers, the fragrant grasses, and the rich aroma to show the bright and beautiful spring scenery.
The third and fourth lines turn to a specific and vivid depiction of early spring scenery. In the third stanza, the poet chooses the most common and characteristic dynamic scenes of early spring to be sketched. Spring flowers are blooming, the mud is melting and the soil is wet, and the swallows, which return in the fall and spring, are busy flying around and building nests in the mud. This vivid description makes the picture more full of vitality, spring, and a dynamic beauty.
The fourth sentence is to outline the static scenery. Spring rushes to melt, the sun is beautiful and the sand is warm, the mandarin ducks also want to enjoy the warmth of this spring, sleeping quietly on the sandbar by the stream. This is also closely related to the first sentence, because the "late sun" before the sand warmth, sand warmth to attract pairs of mandarin ducks out of the water, bathing in the brilliant sunshine, is so relaxed and comfortable.
This five-character stanza has a clear and distant mood, and a fresh tone. The whole poem is neat, but also natural and smooth, without carving; describing the scenery is beautiful and skillful, without any trace, it is a unique chapter in Du's collection.
This poem was written by Du Fu after he entered Sichuan, and expressed his feelings of traveling in a foreign land. "The river blue bird more than white, the mountain green flowers want to burn", this is a picture set in the frame of the landscape, moistened full ink on the paper, applying thick color in the picture, there is a fascination of the charm of the gods. You see, the river blue ripples, revealing the white plume of the water birds, winging the river, a pleasant scenery!
The mountains are full of verdant green, covered with flowers red and colorful, just like burning a fire, how beautiful, how brilliant! The river blue against the white of the bird's plume, blue and white mirror each other; to the mountain green against the red of the flowers, green and red each other for the competition. The two lines of the poem describe the river, mountains, flowers, birds, and respectively, green, green, red, white four colors, the scene is fresh, pleasing to the eye.
The artistic feature of this poem is to write sadness with joyful scenery. Only its extreme statement that the spring light is harmonious can contrast with the poet's eagerness to return. It does not let the sadness of the homecoming from the scene directly revealed, but the objective scenery and subjective feelings of the difference to contrast the poet's deep nostalgia, a unique charm.
