I think there is a significant difference between snow and ice in terms of formation, appearance, touch and use. Snow is formed by water vapor condensing at high altitude, light and fluffy, commonly seen in winter snowfall; ice is water solidifying below zero degrees Celsius, hard and smooth, commonly seen on frozen water or outside of cold drink cups. Snow is used for ornamental purposes and ice sports, while ice is used for refrigeration and to keep temperatures low. Both have similarities, but the difference is significant.
