Liaocheng is located in Luxi Plain, the west gate of Shandong Province, adjacent to Henan and Hebei, and at the junction of East China, Central China and North China, with a total area of 87 15 square kilometers.

Liaocheng is the No.1 vegetable city in China, a national historical and cultural city, an excellent tourist city in China, a hot spring city in China, a national garden city, a national health city, a model city of double support and a national environmental protection model city. Liaocheng is the intersection of Beijing-Kowloon Railway and Hanji Railway in Shandong Province, and it is the largest transportation and logistics hub across Hebei, Shandong and Henan provinces.
