The south is very suitable for raising gentian fish. Gentiana belongs to Perciformes, Perciformes, Epinephinae and Epinephelus in taxonomy. In recent years, Guangdong, Fujian, Hainan and other southern coastal areas began to introduce Taiwan Province gentian fish for pond culture. At present, there are two important methods to cultivate Gentiana grouper: pond culture and cage culture. The premise of the pond is that the breeding pond is based on sand and mud. The suitable area is 3-5 mu, the water depth is above 1.5 m, the water is abundant, the water quality is fresh, there is no need for purification, irrigation and drainage are convenient, the optimum water temperature is 22-30℃, and the optimum salinity is 25-35. Every 2 mu of pond should be equipped with aerators. U-shaped cement tanks, hollow cement bricks, plastic pipe sections with a diameter of 15cm and waste car tires are set at the bottom of the pool as artificial fish reefs to eliminate cannibalism and fish gathering.
