Sweet corn chowder
Ingredients
1. Low-salt bacon?60g - diced
2.? Onion?2 - diced
3.? Carrots?2 - diced
4. Celery stalks?2 - diced
5.? Potatoes?360g - peeled and diced
6.? Chicken broth?6 cups
7. Corn kernels?2 cups
8. Semi-skimmed milk?2 cups
9. Salt and pepper? 1/8 teaspoon each
10. cayenne pepper Several (optional)
Practice
1. Saute the bacon bits on medium heat for about 4 minutes, and when the top of the bits are golden brown, remove and set aside.
2, in the pot add onions, carrots, celery diced, add a little salt, sauté for about 5 minutes, with the ingredients soften, add diced potatoes, chicken broth, bring to a boil.
3, half cover the pot, simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring a few times halfway through the ingredients, until all the ingredients are soft, then add corn kernels. Bring to a boil again, then uncover and simmer for about 5 minutes.
4. Turn off the heat, remove about 2 1/2 cups of vegetables from the pot with a slotted spoon and place them in a blender to puree.
5. Pour the pureed vegetables and milk back into the pot and continue to simmer for about 3 minutes. Add salt, pepper and a few Cayenne pepper.
6: Serve in pots and garnish with diced bacon.
