Davallia mariesii (scientific name: Davallia mariesii T. Moore ex Baker, alias: Rock Lianjiang), is an epiphytic fern in the family of Bone Mariesii. It is born on tree trunks or rocks in mountainous forests, 500-700 meters above sea level.
The plant is up to 40 centimeters tall, with a long, transverse-traveling rhizome[1], scales broadly lanceolate or lanceolate; the leaves are distal, with petioles dark straw-colored or brownish, and the blades are pentagonal and quadruple pinnatifid; the pinnae are opposite or subopposite, short-stalked, and obliquely spreading; the lobes are elliptic, with sporangial clusters borne on the tops of veins, and the caps of clusters tubular; the apex truncated, brown, and thickly membranous.
