Perilla sowing: sowing time is the same as direct seeding. In the whole nursery, horizontal shallow ditch drilling was carried out according to the row spacing of 15 ~ 20cm. The seeds used per mu are about 1 kg. When sowing, mix the seeds with fire, soil and ash, evenly spread them into the ditch, and cover them with thin soil to avoid seeing the seeds. It usually takes about 10 days to keep the soil moist. When the temperature is low in early spring, plastic film or straw can be covered on the border to promote early germination. Remove the film or straw after the seedlings are unearthed, and carry out intertillage weeding and topdressing.

When the seedling height is about 5 cm, it should be thinned, and the spacing between plants should be 3 ~ 5 cm. After thinning, dilute human and animal manure is applied per mu 1500 kg; When the seedling height is 7 ~ 9 cm, combined with the fixed seedling, dilute human and animal manure 1500 kg should be applied per mu. When the seedling height is 10 ~ 15 cm and there are 4 pairs of true leaves, it can be planted in the nursery. Planting should choose tomorrow or sunny afternoon. Water the seedbed the day before seedling raising, so that the seedlings will not damage the roots, and they should be planted with the seeds.

In the whole planting field, the pit is dug according to the plant spacing of 25 cm, and the pit diameter and depth are about 10 cm respectively. First, add a proper amount of clay ash into the hole and mix it fully with the subsoil. Then plant 2-3 strong seedlings in each hole, finalize the design, cover the soil and water. About 1 10,000 seedlings are needed per mu.
