Scented cattail grass (Latin name: Typha orientalis Presl), perennial deciduous, persistent water-supporting monocotyledonous plant, preferring warm, light environments. The stem is extremely short and inconspicuous. Leaves are greenish, with membranous leaf sheath margins. Flowers are unisexual, monoecious; bloom in summer, normal stems grow rapidly at maturity and produce spikes at the tips; pollen is bright yellow.
The leafy green spikes are often used to decorate garden ponds, lakes, and construct water features. It is suitable to be used as the background material of flower border and water feature. Can also be potted plants arranged in the garden.
