Nutrition is a science about the nature, distribution, metabolism and consequences of insufficient food intake of nutrients in food. Nutrients refer to the substances in food that can be Chemicals absorbed and used to enhance health. Certain nutrients are essential because they cannot be synthesized by the body and therefore must be obtained from food.
