Sanzi is one of the famous snacks of ethnic minorities who believe in Islam. During the Eid al-Adha and Roz festivals, every household has a plate of yellow, multi-layered cylindrical oil dumplings on their dining table.
As the saying goes, "The snacks are fragrant, the mooncakes are delicious when returning home, and the dumplings when returning home are sweet and crispy." Sanzi is one of the traditional foods of the Hui people. In ancient times, it was called "ring cake" and "cold tool". According to historical records, it began in the Northern Dynasties and has a history of more than 1,400 years. Every time during Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha and other ethnic festivals, Hui people will make steamed buns to entertain guests and give as gifts to relatives and friends.
