The first consideration is the construction of chicken coops. Farmers should adjust measures to local conditions, use local materials and make it simple. Permanent and simple sheds can be built. The width of the shed is 5 meters, and the length depends on the size of the flock (chickens per square meter 15), and the middle height of the shed is 1.8~2 meters. The front and rear walls are about 1 m high, and the roof of the shed is covered with a layer of linoleum, covered with thatch or wheat straw, and covered with a layer of plastic film for waterproof and thermal insulation. The four walls of the shed are woven into fence walls with straw, or surrounded by plastic sheets, plastic films, linoleum, etc. There should be drains around the shed. There are several closable holes in the south of the shed for chickens to enter and leave. The surrounding plastic sheets or films are mobile, which can be lifted by 0.8~ 1.0 m in hot weather to help cool down.
Secondly, in the aspect of feeding green shell laying hens, we should feed full-price ingredients during the brooding period, and adopt the method of feeding less and eating more meals to ensure that chicks are always in a state of strong appetite, so as to promote their growth and development. During the breeding and grazing period, we should feed more green feed and coarse grains, etc. Generally, the green feed is artificially planted to raise chickens, and high-quality grass can be used as one of the main feed sources for raising chickens, which greatly reduces the concentrate feed by 2.32 kg, saves the cost of 8.5 yuan per chicken and has remarkable economic benefits. Generally, high-quality grasses such as hn-mc Youyou Chicory, hn-mc Youyou Grain Amaranth, etc. are selected to feed chickens, which is conducive to enhancing the disease resistance of chickens, improving the survival rate and breeding efficiency of chickens, reducing the use of drugs, especially completely replacing the use of multivitamins.
Finally, the management of green shell laying hens needs strict epidemic prevention and deworming. Farmers should pay attention to the prevention and control of coccidiosis, and it is generally better to prevent coccidiosis once at 15 days old and once at 35 days old. Coccidiosis can be fed to chickens by chopping 300g of Polygonum hydropiper, 300g of purslane and 300g of garlic. Usually, appropriate amount of Chinese herbal medicines such as Radix Isatidis, Herba Andrographis, Flos Lonicerae, Flos Chrysanthemi Indici, Fructus Forsythiae, etc. are added to the feed, and the dosage of western medicine is controlled as much as possible to reduce drug residues.
