According to legend, in the 1930s, Guo Chaohua, a native of Chengdu, and his wife made a living by selling cold lung slices, and they walked around the streets, which was very popular in the local area because of their good selection of materials and careful production.

Later, a small shop was opened, because it was run by husband and wife, so people gave them a name "Husband and wife lung slices", which represented the beautiful meaning of sharing joys and sorrows.
