Why do you want to eat fried noodles on June 6th?
In our place, every family eats fried noodles for the festival on June 6 every year. This custom has something to do with the Dragon King. Legend has it that a long time ago, the sea was not far from the East Gate of Huai 'an. Every June of the lunar calendar, the Dragon King of the Four Seas played at the mouth of the Yellow River. On the sixth day of the lunar calendar, there were clouds and rains, and the people suffered as a result. The Yellow River collapsed every year, and countless people died in the water. At that time, there was a Qingshui pond in the east of Suzui Street, a he jia zhuang by the pond, and a girl named He Shangu in the village. On June 6th this year, the men went to the embankment again, and the women were cooking at home. She thought, I should bring some delicious things for the men, which will not spoil. There is only coarse wheat flour at home, so she put the flour in the pot and fried it, fried it and fried it, and it smells delicious. As soon as the Dragon King in the sky came out, he was attracted by the fragrance. After searching all morning, he couldn't find where the fragrance came from, so he went up to heaven and told the Jade Emperor. The jade emperor knew that it was He Shangu who did it, and the jade emperor was also very greedy. He immediately called He Shangu to heaven to give him fried noodles to eat. He Shangu gave fried noodles to the Dragon Kings of the Four Seas on June 6th every year, which made them happy and forgot about the rain in the competition. In this way, the flood on June 6th was cleared, and Huai 'an was no longer flooded. In memory of her, on June 6th, Huai 'an and Lianyungang had the custom of eating fried noodles.
