The causes of proteinuria are:

1. When urine protein shows abnormal values, some are diseases of the kidney itself, and some are diseases caused by causes other than the kidney.

2. When the human body undergoes strenuous exercise, heavy physical labor, emotional excitement, excessive coldness and stress, the excretion of protein in the urine can increase. This is called transient proteinuria, which occurs within a few hours. Or it will return to normal after a few days.

3. Most proteinuria caused by causes other than the kidney is benign. When the disease is cured, the proteinuria will disappear. For example: high urinary protein caused by colds and other diseases, heart disease, etc., proteinuria will occur when renal venous congestion occurs.

4. Healthy people will also have a very small amount of urinary protein, but in the qualitative examination, as long as the test paper does not change color and shows negative (-), it is normal. In addition, even if there is no physical disorder, proteinuria will occur as long as there is strenuous exercise, bitter cold, mental excitement, or strong stress.
