"East Meets West" is a comedy movie released in 1993. It was directed by Lau Chun-wai, with action direction by Sammo Hung, and starring Leslie Cheung, Brigitte Lin, Jacky Cheung, Maggie Cheung, Tony Leung, Alan Leong, Joey Wong, Carina Lau, Chung Chun-to, and Yip Yuk-hing.

The plot

The adulterous concubine of the Golden Wheel Kingdom (played by Yip Yuk Hing) has an affair with her cousin Ouyang Feng (played by Tony Leung), so she kills the king and takes the Jade Seal first in an attempt to dominate the kingdom. After a long battle, Ouyang Feng injures the Third Princess (Brigitte Lin) who keeps the Jade Seal, but she always escapes.

The Hutu master (Maggie Cheung) to find out the whereabouts of the Three Princesses, Ouyang Feng that is to take the rocket golden boots to catch up, but mistakenly dislodged a boot inserted just out of the customs of the death of Wang Chongyang (Chung Chun Tao), the Three Princesses coincided with the passing of the king, the king pleaded with her to find his younger brother, Zhou Botong (played by Carole Lau) to take revenge on his behalf.

The Three Princesses are instructed by the Nine Palace Master and accompanied by the Master's disciple, Wong Yak-sik (Leslie Cheung), to retrieve the Nine Negative Sutras in order to avenge the death of their country; however, they are envied by their youngest sister (Joey Wong).

The two failed to get the scriptures, and met with Mr. Duan (Tony Leung Ka Fai) at the Da Dong Inn. It turned out that Mr. Duan and the Third Princess have been close to each other since they were young, but he is a Lohan who has to break off his love and find a true hearted person to become an immortal.

Then Zhou Botong arrives and mistakenly thinks that the Third Princess has killed his senior brother, but later, when he becomes delirious from practicing the "Three Flowers Gathering" technique, the Third Princess disguises herself as Wang Chongyang, which makes Zhou Botong regain his strength and continue to search for the murderer.

Wang Duan realizes that Huang Yusi is the man he has been dreaming of, and finally gets his wish by pretending to be the Third Princess and telling Dongxie "I love you". After the group fought on Danxia Mountain, Ouyang Feng got the Nine Yin True Scriptures and returned to his country to practice, and the group, under the leadership of the State Master, decided to fight with him, and finally defeated Ouyang Feng with the help of Prince Duan, who had already become an immortal.

1, Huang Yanshi

East Evil Huang Yanshi is the disciple of the Nine Palace Realist, he accompanied the three princess to get the Nine Negative Truth Scriptures, but it caused the youngest sister jealousy. The State Master herself is kind in nature, but was forced to give in by Ouyang Feng and the others. She has many invincible equipments, a crystal ball that can check the movement of others, flying shoes that can keep flying in the air, and an invincible poison wasp.

5. Duan Wangshi

He wanted to become an immortal and searched for the right person. Duan Wangshi realizes that Huang Yushi is the one he has been dreaming of, and finally, he pretends to be the Third Princess to lure Dongxie to say "I love you" and get what he wants. In the end, he became an immortal and defeated Ouyang Feng together with all the people.

6, Zhou Botong
