The method for drying lettuce is as follows:
Method 1: Blanch and then dry.
Step one: Boil a large pot of water. After the water boils, add 2 tablespoons of salt and 1 tablespoon of cooking oil. Stir them up, then add the cut lettuce slices and continue to cook. Wait for the water to boil. When it is about to boil but is not yet boiling, turn off the heat and immediately take out the lettuce slices to dry.
Step 2: After drying the water on the surface of the lettuce, place them on a drying net and expose them to the sun for about 3 days. The lettuce will be dried.
Method 2: Pickle first and then dry. Pickle first and then dry.
Step one: After finishing the preparations, put the lettuce slices into a container, add an appropriate amount of salt, the amount of salt is about the same as your daily cooking, then mix the salt and lettuce evenly, and marinate for 2 hours or more, you can also marinate overnight.
Step 2: The pickled lettuce will release a lot of water and the lettuce will become soft. Take the lettuce out and squeeze out the water, and place it in the sun because the salt will pickle the water in the lettuce. After taking out a part of it, it will be ready in about 2 days.
Method three: direct exposure. Since the first two methods are a little troublesome, why not just dry them directly? That's right. After I cut the lettuce into thick slices, I didn't blanch or pickle it, and put it directly on the drying net to dry it, because the water in the lettuce was not pickled. It took about 3 days to dry in the sun, but the color of the dried lettuce was emerald green, which was not much different from the color of the dried lettuce after pickling.
