Borneo tree is originally produced in India, so it is commonly called Indian Bodhi tree, and it is also called thinking tree. According to legend, in the first year of Liang Wudi Tianjian (502), Sanzang, an Indian monk, introduced Bodhi tree from Xizhu to the altar of Guangxiao Temple. Since then, bodhi trees have grown in Guangdong and Yunnan.

The trunk of bodhi tree is rich in milk pulp, and hard rubber can be extracted; Flowers can be used as medicine and have the function of sweating and antipyretic. It is suitable for temples, streets and parks as street trees.
