Dahurian Angelica? - Plant

Nature and flavor: warm in nature, pungent in taste, aromatic in odor, slightly bitter. The root is conical, 10~20cm long and 2~2.5cm in diameter. The surface is grey-brown, with transversely protruding lenticels and a depressed stem mark at the top. It is hard, white in cross-section, powdery enough, and the skin is densely covered with brown oil spots.

Functions and Indications: Expelling rheumatism, activating blood circulation and draining pus, promoting muscle growth and relieving pain. It is used for headaches, toothaches, rhinophyma, intestinal wind and hemorrhoids, red and leucorrhea, carbuncles and sores, and skin itching.

Dahurian angelica also has beautifying effects. Select large, pure white and mildew-free Angelica dahurica, take the roots, grind them into very fine powder, mix them into a small bottle of ordinary skin care products, stir well and mix well. If you insist on using it, it will have a certain whitening effect.

Efficacy of Angelica dahurica

1. Expelling wind and relieving surface: used for cold, wind-cold, headache, nasal congestion and other symptoms. It has the effect of dispersing wind-cold and relieving pain. 3. Dissipate and drain pus: Used to treat carbuncle, swollen, sore, and ulcer. It can be dissipated at the beginning and pus can be drained after ulceration, such as (Xianfang Huoming Drink, Tuoli Toupu Decoction).

4. Dry dampness and stop the vaginal discharge: Used for women with cold and damp leucorrhea, it can dry away dampness and stop the vaginal discharge, and can be used with jellyfish and the like; it belongs to the wet tropical zone and the vaginal discharge is yellow and thick, so it can be used to clear away heat and relieve dampness.
