Guanyin mud, also known as "kaolin", "mud" and "white mud", is rich in minerals such as silicon, zinc, magnesium and aluminum. It is a white or off-white powder with strong viscosity and is an important raw material for making ceramics.

Guanyin soil originated from a legend, saying that there is a disease in Wuwang Mountain area, and the symptoms are very common, that is, loss of appetite and nausea and vomiting, but the doctors nearby can do nothing about it. Later, people had to turn to God, so Master Guanyin took some soil from the Temple of Heaven, fried it with flour, and the patient ate it. As a result, the disease was cured, so everyone called it that soil.
