The fruit of coffee is composed of two oval seeds. One side connected with each other is a flat joint, which is called flat bean. But there is also a round seed, called round bean, which has no different taste.
Coffee beans are obtained by treating the nuts in the coffee tree fruit in a certain way. The earliest way for Arabs to eat coffee was to chew the whole coffee bean to absorb its juice. Later, they mixed ground coffee beans with animal fat as a physical supplement for long-distance travel, and it was not until A.D. 1000 that coffee beans became drinks.
Coffee tree growth environment
Coffee tree was originally a plant under the tropical rain forest. During the system development, it formed the habit of needing calm wind, cool temperature, shade or semi-shade and humid environment. Small coffee is most suitable for growing in the mountains with an altitude of 800 ~1800 m. Small coffee has developed root system and shallow absorption root distribution, which requires loose, fertile and well-drained soil, and the slope below 250 is selected.
Small coffee is not resistant to strong light, so it needs proper shade. If the light is too strong, its growth will be inhibited. If water and fertilizer are insufficient, it will lead to premature aging and even death. Excessive shading, excessive branches and leaves, scarce flowers and fruits, and reduced yield.
