Guangxi cinnamon was exported to Europe more than 9 years ago, and now cinnamon has become an important export commodity in Guangxi. Foreign countries call cinnamon "Xigui".
Medicinal use of cinnamon:
Researchers in Pakistan recently found that cinnamon can help to improve blood sugar and blood lipid levels in patients with type 2 diabetes. The researchers randomly divided patients with type 2 diabetes into 6 groups, and gave them 1, 3 and 6 grams of cinnamon capsules and a placebo without cinnamon every day for 4 days. The results showed that the fasting blood glucose, total cholesterol and triglyceride of the three groups treated with different doses of cinnamon decreased by 18% ~ 29%, 12% ~ 26% and 23% ~ 3% respectively. However, there were no changes in blood sugar and blood lipid in the three groups of patients taking placebo.
Dr. Anderson of the United States Department of Agriculture also found that cinnamon, clove, turmeric and a kind of grass can increase insulin activity by three times, which is helpful for the body to make better use of sugar, and cinnamon is the most effective.
The test in vitro also showed that cinnamon can greatly improve the efficiency of insulin metabolism of glucose.
Experts believe that sprinkling a teaspoon of cinnamon powder on bread or adding it to porridge and cooked food every day will help prevent and treat diabetes.
