Raw glutinous rice is a traditional Chinese food that contains alcohol, sugar and various nutrients. Although glutinous rice is a traditional food, it is made from fermented glutinous rice and is therefore not halal.

Halal food refers to food produced and operated in accordance with Islamic regulations, such as beef, mutton, chicken, fish, vegetables, etc. Therefore, glutinous rice is not considered a halal food.
