Jilin Normal University has several featured majors, some of which are ranked among the top in their respective fields. The program has been awarded the first "Excellent Mental Health Education Case Award" and the National Mental Health Education Creative Design Award.

2. Education: The Department of Education at Jilin Normal University is a university of the new era of national characteristic discipline construction, with undergraduate majors in education, psychology, curriculum and pedagogy.

3. Ecology Major: Ecology Major is a national featured major, forming a joint training center with Zhejiang University, Peking University, University of Science and Technology of China and other universities to learn from each other's strengths and weaknesses.

4. Art and Design: The Department of Art and Design at Jilin Normal University has two undergraduate majors and a master's degree in Fine Arts and Design. The Fine Arts program has been honored as a key construction program under the "National Culture and Technology Satellite City Program". The design program passed professional accreditation in 2019, becoming one of the first 18 accredited design casting undergraduate programs approved by the China Accreditation Council for Design Undergraduate Education.
