Big Fish
In the touching movie Big Fish, director tim burton takes us into the inner world of a father and son.
Will (billy crudup) remembers that his father Edward (albert finney) liked to tell many bizarre stories when he was a traveling salesman in Alabama in his early years. They are so bizarre that even Will often doubts their authenticity. He felt that he didn't know his father at all and couldn't accept his anecdotes, which gradually alienated the relationship between father and son. Later, Will married a French woman named Josephine and finally left home and his nagging father.
Will hasn't contacted his family for three years. On this day, his mother Sandra (Jessica Lange) suddenly called. She told Will that his father had cancer and would die soon, and told him to go home and see his father for the last time. Will and his wife returned to their hometown, and Will once again heard his father's legendary story about his youth.
According to Edward's account, Ivan Macquigg was a high-spirited and ambitious man when he was young. He has always wanted to leave his small village and experience life in a big city outside. During the journey, he met an old witch, a giant, a place called "ghost town", a circus owner who would become a werewolf at night, a China singer with two different personalities but only one body, and a "big fish" that no one could catch. In addition to these legends, Edward also told the love story between himself and his wife Sandra-how he met her, how he was moved by her beauty and proposed to her.
Although from these stories, Will found that they contained a lot of embellishments, they were much more real than he had imagined. They are just a way for his father to keep his passion and honesty in the past. Edward finally won the respect and understanding of his son at the last moment of his life. Will finally told his father a very true story: Edward will die peacefully with the company of his loved ones. /view/423555.html? wtp=tt
