How about the hotel switchboard operator?

I am the operator of the hotel. We call it the quick service center, because our operator here also serves as a catering conference reservation and a part of the room service center. First of all, it's a very training position: you must memorize how many rooms and rooms there are in the hotel, how many people can be accommodated in the conference room, the price of individual guests and the price of the internet, the location and characteristics of private rooms for catering, what special dishes are there and the route to the hotel. Then all the extension numbers of the hotel, as well as the mobile phone numbers of some leaders. The amount of study is very large, so it is a very training position. Disadvantages: our switchboard is separated from the front desk, and the leaders can't see the telephone transfer. Many leaders think that the switchboard is very idle to answer calls all day, so there is no chance for promotion, or there is little chance for promotion. We work in three shifts, with an average of eight night shifts a month. The night shift is from 23: 11 to 7: 11 the next day, and the off-duty is also after 7: 11, and usually I go back to sleep for one day. It's hardly a rest. At present, there are 7 people in our post, 5 in the switchboard and 2 in the business center. If you have a normal off-duty, you can just finish your rest on January 4, and you won't be able to work at all on legal holidays.

generally speaking, the switchboard has no future. Generally speaking, those who have been sitting for a full year and know something have all left.

At present, there are five people in our switchboard, one is pregnant and ready to go home to have a baby, two are ready to take the civil service exam, and one is ready to take the exam by herself. Another child is over one year old and doesn't want to change jobs, so he is content with the status quo.

If you have other options, don't choose the switchboard. Guests won't see it, and you won't learn much about how to deal with people.

it's better to choose the front desk or concierge, and there are more opportunities for promotion.
