Urumqi is also a city with a rich nightlife. For locals, shopping is crowded and hot, so they prefer to meet up with friends they haven't seen in a while and relax in a small bar, slowly savoring the aroma of alcohol and chatting about their recent lives without inhibitions. Below are five bars that I highly recommend, with a focus on whiskey and sake, each with their own specialties. But the bar itself is derived from Western culture, so the bars in various cities are looking pretty much the same, Tiger recommended these bars are in Urumqi consumer experience is better~
1.TENDER?BAR: No. 196 Xinmin West Street, 19:00-02:00
Tender bar's biggest specialty is its special blend of flavors, and it's the best place to get a drink. The best thing about tender bar is the specials, and they are different for every season. The water list is always changing and new, so every time you go, you'll be pleasantly surprised. I've always seen them as a list store on reviews, and I've had a few bartender friends recommend them, but I've never been there. Once I finally went, I fell in love. I've been going often since then, and my favorite part is trying new products, and they have events that average only $30 per cocktail between 5pm and 9pm. If you like to get slightly tipsy at night, this bar is really perfect for that.
TENDER is located on a corner of Xinmin Xi Street, with a not-so-obvious front door, just a bar and booths for four. With lazy jazz music playing, it's a great place to unwind. They recently released six limited-edition wines that are sweet and tart, including flavors like hawthorn, cinnamon, butter and apple, and not too high in alcohol, making them perfect for a summer microbrew.
2. NO.108?WHISKY?COCKTAIL: No.108, Ground Floor, Building S1, Vanke Metropolitan Legend, Kesi Street, 20:30-04:00
The best feature of this whiskey bar is the superbly full range of categories, and the variety of cocktails, really good for a small gathering of friends, different flavors can be satisfied. The encounter with this store was purely accidental. I was having dinner in the neighborhood and took a walk along the street while the weather was nice and I saw this store. I've always had a soft spot for bars with specialties written on the sign, so I decided to go in and have a drink. Once inside, I felt that the atmosphere was not bad. This modern and minimalist style is more to my liking than the retro and ornate décor, after all, the environment is simpler so that I can concentrate more on my wine tasting.
NO.108?WHISKY?COCKTAIL is located on the first floor of the Legend of Vanke Metropolis on Kesi Street, decorated in a retro style, the door is relatively small and you need to look carefully. There is a bar area and boxes, dim lighting, the owner does not smile, the store specializes in traditional cocktails and whiskey. And there's free wine when you come in for a taste!
3. Stated's Bar: 3F, Building S8, Vanke Metro Legend, Kesi Street, 19:00-06:00
Ahu loves affordable pubs, which are generally relatively accessible in terms of pricing and offer affordable drinks and snacks. Although they don't have the atmosphere and decor of high-end bars, they are a favorite go-to place for many people, especially those who focus on affordability and a relaxed atmosphere. At affordable pubs, one can try a variety of beers, wines, and basic cocktails. Their drinks are relatively inexpensive, making them suitable for those who don't want to spend too much money but still want to relax. In addition, Affordable Tavern offers some simple but delicious snacks such as fried chicken, French fries and burgers to satisfy your appetite.
This bar is the quintessential affordable tavern: brightly decorated, with clashing colors and ambient lights all over the walls, it's perfect for photo ops. Wine, beer and cocktails are available, as well as tasty snacks like chicken fingers, wings and lasagna, and if that's not enough flavor, there's also drunken crab claws and chicken claws. There are also party events every weekend.
Z-ONE?Bar: in front of Vanke's Future City, 20:00-04:00
This place specializes in whisky, with more than 50 choices of whiskies, brandies, wines and other cocktails, and the whiskies are really strong, so it's not a good idea to drink more than three shots if you can't hold your liquor. The best thing about this place is that there are live performances every day, making the whole atmosphere even more lively, and there's no fear of getting cold feet when you're drinking here, as the music fills up all the gaps anyway.
This place has my favorite style of décor. The wooden black bar and the dark red wine cabinet on the wall come into view, and the age-old vicissitudes of the house are clearly visible, while the mottled red brick wall is set off, the space seems to have reversed time, as if the guests are in a salon in the 20th century. Walking up to the second floor, the atmosphere is more elegant and private. The vaulted ceiling is made of bricks, as if the design of a wine cellar, coupled with dim lighting, exudes a gentle atmosphere of the years.
