Xiaoximen historical and cultural block is the ancient city of Tianxin District on the east bank of Xiangjiang River in Changsha City, Hunan Province, adjacent to Xiangjiang River, located on the west side of the middle section of Huangxing South Road Pedestrian Commercial Street, and the core protection area is Fire Palace. The main streets are Pozi Street, Hongjiajing, Fanxi Lane, Xueyuan Street, Xialijiapo and Wangsan Street. Pozi Street is one of the oldest streets in Changsha, which has existed since the Warring States period and its position remains unchanged. Du Fu, a poet in the Tang Dynasty, lived in Changsha in 768 and Jiangge outside Xiaoximen of Pozi Street. Now Changsha has built Du Fu Jiang Ge, a Tang-style building, in the Xiangjiang River scenic zone to commemorate this event. Fire Palace is the area where the modern catering industry in Changsha was formed, and its stinky tofu and other snacks are deeply loved by the people. Today, Pozi Street has built a street where people can eat, but the demolition of old buildings during the construction process has always been dissatisfied by local people.
Essay on Xiaoximen in Changsha
It is said that Changsha has planned Xiaoximen as a "historical and cultural protection area" and feels that the municipal government should know that Xiaoximen has people who need historical and cultural protection. As for how many existing features are left and how to protect them, I'm sorry I didn't go to see them, but few people have this plan.
I know a thing or two about the old Simon. When I was a child, I went straight down Xiaoximenzheng Street via Pozi Street, and then changed hands into Shanghe Street to see the yellow ducks called by the roadside. A few years ago, I wrote an article "The Yellow Duck Screws". After the Revolution of 1911, Huang Xing returned to Hunan and entered the city from Xiaoximen. Citizens stood on both sides of the street to welcome him. After public discussion, Xiaoximen was renamed Huangxingmen and Pozi Street was renamed. But then there was a voice of opposition. First of all, some people inside the revolutionary school ridiculed that Chen Jing insisted on paying homage to Yu Zhimo when welcoming Huang Xing's excitement, and hung white cloth elegiac couplets on Pozi Street. The couplets are well written:
Life and death see friendship, so Chen Jing was left behind;
Heroes talk about success or failure, and the whole people strive for success.
At that time, the government of the Republic of China awarded Huang Xing the titles of "Rongyi" and "General of the Army". Chen Jing felt that he was too indifferent and unfair to the martyr who died before the revolution and his friend Yu Zhimo. In fact, this can't blame Huang Xing. The rest of my life is too late to witness this excitement. However, after the Xinhai, my father served as the director of the Finance Department of the general office of the provincial government (the director at that time seemed to be worse than the director today), but he was full of enthusiasm. With the failure of the second revolution, Huangxingmen and Pozi Street were renamed and restored. Ye Dehui also wrote an article "The Recovery of Pozi Street" with great interest. These stories have been familiar to me since I was a child.
At the moment, I have a copy of Yang Guang Miscellaneous Notes on my desk. Author Liu (1648- 1695) traveled to Hunan during the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty and described Xiaoximen as follows:
Outside the Xiaoximen Gate in Changsha, people live on both sides of the river. Although the bamboo shed is elegant and far away, it is smokeless and angry. Far and near boats, those who climb, those who descend, those who sail full, those who berth, those who manage, those who are big and those who are small are all in the picture. The world is perfect.
What a beautiful ink painting this is. Great changes have taken place in society in the past 300 years. More than 60 years ago, my impression of Xiaoximen became a noisy and full area, without a bamboo fence hut (but there seems to be one on the mainland and on the other side). This is the progress of history, so there is no need to be sentimental. However, it is probably beneficial to keep some ancient memories to let Changsha people and future tourists know that Xiaoximen was once the "best place in the world" written by Liu, who lost his peerless knowledge in history.
A few days ago, the sculptor Lei Yizhuang went to the shed and talked about the sculpture modeling of the scenic belt along the river. He said that he would build statues of Zhu and Zhang Wei in Zhuzhangdu. Of course, Zhu and Zhang are both cultural celebrities, but I have no affinity with rationalists. I always feel that the statue of a great scholar is more suitable for the lecture hall of Yuelu Academy. On the edge of Xiangjiang River, it is not as good as the statue of the sculpture poet Jiang Baishi. The pedestal can be engraved with the poem "a calyx is red", which means "coming from south to north, swinging clouds and burning water?" Because its preface reads: Bingwu Human Day (according to A.D. 1 185), other guests can see the government affairs hall in Changsha without driving ... auspicious clouds are low, Xiang Bo is tolerant, happy is sad, broken is tune. It can be seen that it is a genuine creation on the edge of Xiangjiang River, and it is also a local story of Xiaoximen. There is no need for postscript, let alone fabrication. Carving the words of the first-rate poets in the Southern Song Dynasty in Xiaoximen can add color to Changsha and arouse people's interest more easily.
Xin Jiaxuan also stayed in Changsha. Although Xin is older than Jiang 15 years old, and has never been to Xiangjiang River together, they are all poets in the Southern Song Dynasty, and they all have witty remarks. I asked someone to write a couplet with two words to hang at home:
It can eliminate several storms.
Unfortunately, it is a piece of land.
Mr Zhang Zhongxing and Mr Huang Shang each wrote me a letter. Why write two identical pairs? Just because "this language is deeply loved", Baishi quoted Fu Huan's sentence "How can people be as good as trees?"
