It is called Fengcheng because the territory of Qingyuan looks like a phoenix from above, so it is called Fengcheng. The third pier is where the rockhopper is located. There is a beautiful legend here. It is said that in the past, near the Workers' Cultural Palace in Qingyuan City, there was a tall buttonwood tree with a nest of phoenixes living on it. Under the tree lived a young man named Zhang Yi, whose parents died when he was a child. "Nanxiong fell into the water and splashed stones. He fell to Shaoguan and rose three feet. He went to Yingde to soak in half, and was soaked by Qingyuan guy's "ingot dripping water" (Qingyuan dialect means no place to run). The Beijiang River was fierce, and Qingyuan was flooded at once. Zhang Yi drove his boat everywhere to save those who were struggling in the water, saving batch after batch. When passing by his house, two other big phoenixes flew out to look for food. Because phoenixes don't live in buttonwood trees, treasure, spring water or new teeth, they have to fly far away to look for food. I didn't know there was a flood here, and the phoenix nest didn't even grow its wings, so it was going to be submerged. Zhang Yi immediately jumped into the water, swam to the middle of the tree and took the whole nest of phoenix out and put it on the boat. However, because many parasitic vines grew on the old tree and entangled Zhang Yi's feet, he could not struggle, so he had to let the boat drift away and slowly sank into the water. Here, the mother phoenix is back. Seeing this touching scene, I feel that people can risk their lives to save a nest of phoenixes, which is very touching. When I saw those who were still struggling in the water, I threw myself on the surface of the water and let the drowning man run away on her phoenix back. Finally, Qingyuan looks like a phoenix, and the third pier is Phoenix Head, which was originally curved, but now the berm is flat. The upper profile and the lower profile are the phoenix wings of Qingyuan, and the phoenix back is the location of New Century Square. Fengwei (the house in the old district) extends from Songgang Road to Beijiashan. At the place where Phoenix died, we call it Li Qifeng (meaning hope that Phoenix can stand up again). It is said that Gong Fenghuang of Qingyuan came back and was very sad to see his wife's sacrifice. He flew away from this sad place with the little phoenix, and flew to Shunde as soon as he flew, so there were two Fengcheng in Guangdong Province.
