Unemployed persons shall, within 30 days after receiving the notice from the unit to dissolve or terminate the labor relationship or work relationship, go through the formalities of unemployment registration and unemployment insurance application at the district or county employment service agency where the household registration is located. Unemployed persons shall submit relevant materials to prove their unemployment when handling unemployment registration procedures and applying for unemployment insurance benefits.

Persons who have been reeducated through labor or sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment during their employment, who are now released from reeducation through labor or released from prison, can go through the formalities of unemployment registration and unemployment insurance application in accordance with the provisions of these Measures within 30 days from the date of returning to their original domicile.

The employment service agency shall examine and confirm the unemployment situation within 05 days from the date of accepting the application procedures for unemployment insurance benefits for unemployed persons. For the unemployed who have the conditions to receive unemployment insurance benefits, the time limit and standard for receiving unemployment insurance benefits shall be approved.
