Cable also received many foreign heads of state, world celebrities and performing stars from all over the world, such as Singapore President Nathan, Singapore Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong, former Singapore Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Chief Executive Donald Tsang, and successive Japanese ambassadors to China.
