There is no necessary connection between the Eight Banners and surnames, because the Eight Banners are not determined by surnames. Every flag has many big names. Sometimes my brother is in blue, and my brother may be in yellow. It is also common to move from one flag to another. In short, flags are not necessarily fixed.
You should not use the thinking concept of Han nationality to understand Manchu surnames. The surnames of the old Manchu and the Han nationality are conceptually different. The old surname in Manchu generally refers to the name of a family, which is only used when addressing this family, and is not used by individuals at ordinary times. Such an old surname will also change with the division of the family. The surname of Han nationality has only a simple function, that is, to express the blood relationship between father and son, which will not change from generation to generation, but the old surname of Manchu is not like this.
According to the historical records "genealogy of Manchu Eight Banners' surnames in Qing Dynasty" and "Draft of Qing Dynasty, Biography of Empresses":

Xu Muerye Chen Shi, the first ancestor who moved, lived in Zhusheli area (now Changbai Mountain) and was one of the oldest surnames of Manchu. At the beginning of the post-Jin regime, he led his family to join. Tongnuerhachi, the Qing emperor, was overjoyed, married his sister, called E, and returned to Manchuria in Zhengbaiqi. Its descendants were separated from Hunchun (now Hunchun, Jilin), Kuerka, Sansheng (now Yilan, Heilongjiang) and other places.
