Mongolian yurts: Mongolian herdsmen live in Mongolian yurts, which are suitable for animal husbandry production and nomadic life. The inside of the yurt is spacious and comfortable. It is made of a special wooden frame (supported by the fence of the yurt), wrapped with two or three layers of wool felt, and then tied with a rope twisted with horsehair or camel hair. The top of it is made of "Wu Nai" as a bracket and covered with "Bliss" to show the sky. Its circular spire has a skylight "Taonao", which is covered with a four-square wool felt "Wurihe", which can ventilate and light, and is convenient for building, dismantling and moving, and is suitable for grazing in rotation.
Tujia Diaojiaolou: Tujia people mostly live in steep hills. Because of this terrain, houses are mostly in the form of Diaojiaolou. Four wooden pillars are erected at both ends of the house, and a wooden frame is built along the direction of the hillside. Crossbars are built at the height flush with the main floor, covered with wooden boards, and half-mounted board walls or wooden corridors are installed on three sides, with grass or fir bark as the roof. The downstairs is empty all around, which can be used to pile up fertilizers or temporarily tie animals. Upstairs is usually a place for girls to make shoes, embroider or enjoy the cool. Mostly in: northern Guangxi, western Hunan, western Hubei and southeastern Guizhou.
