First of all, you may not know what a functional department is. Simply put, the functional department is the department responsible for school logistics management and service. For example, campus construction planning, equipment management, security, food hygiene, dormitory management and so on. It sounds serious, but there are actually some interesting things.
First of all, I want to talk about the dormitory management department. As a boarder, my job is to manage the student dormitory. Check whether the dormitory is clean and tidy every day, whether the sanitary conditions are up to standard, whether the students go to bed on time and so on.
Sometimes you will encounter some interesting things, such as students' birthday parties, group review before exams and so on. But there are also some headaches, such as students playing games too late, affecting other students' rest and failing to pay water and electricity bills.
Secondly, I want to talk about the security department. In the university campus, security issues are very important. The work of the security department is to ensure the personal safety and property safety of teachers and students in the school. As a security guard, my job is to patrol every corner of the school to ensure the safety of the campus.
Sometimes we will encounter some accidents, such as the loss of students' mobile phones and the illegal entry of outsiders into the campus. We need to deal with it in time and report to the leader.
Finally, I want to talk about the equipment management department. This department is responsible for managing all kinds of school equipment, such as projectors in classrooms, instruments and equipment in laboratories and so on. As a equipment manager, my job is to ensure the normal operation of all kinds of equipment, deal with faults in time and ensure the smooth progress of teaching and scientific research.
Sometimes you will encounter some interesting problems, such as some students naughty hiding the remote control of the projector, and some serious problems, such as the aging equipment needs to be replaced in time.
In addition, logistics, security, student affairs and other functional departments are also very important. Although they are not directly related to students' studies like teaching and scientific research, they are the backing of Dalian University and provide students with necessary guarantees and services.
In a word, all functional departments of Dalian University perform their duties and cooperate closely to provide students with all-round protection and services. Although their work doesn't look impressive, they have done a lot silently, and each of them has done his own job to make our campus life more comfortable, safe and orderly.
