3. Calculation of the number of seats in fast food restaurants
According to statistics, the number of single diners in McDonald's accounts for 8%, while that of double diners accounts for 45%. There are two, three and five seats, and some seats can be split or combined.
if the area where tables and chairs can be placed in McDonald's is 212㎡ and the seating density is 1㎡, then this restaurant should be designed with 212 seats.
because the proportion of two people coming for dinner is 45%, 212*45%=91 seats, and then dividing 91 by 2 is about 45, which means that 45 tables for two should be designed and placed in the restaurant.
the formula is:
dining room area (212m2) ÷ seating density (1m2) = number of dining room seats (212).
number of seats for two = number of seats in dining room (212)× proportion of dining for two (45%)÷2 (number of people) =45.
similarly, three seats or five seats can also be calculated in this way.
In order to accommodate more customers, McDonald's will also make use of some natural conditions to make tables-making tables along columns, making tables in the form of bars, setting high tables and long tables to achieve the optimal allocation of resources.
