According to the inquiry of official website of Hefei Science Island, the full name of Hefei Science Island is Science Island of China University of Science and Technology, which is a branch of Science Island of Graduate School of China University of Science and Technology. It was established on 20 15 and is located on the Science Island near Shushan Lake in Hefei. It is a comprehensive scientific research base which mainly undertakes major national scientific research projects and pays equal attention to high-tech application, development and research and postgraduate training. Research unit 10, including 255 senior personnel, 5 deputy senior personnel, 4 academicians of the two academies, 5 national candidates for the "100 million talents project in the new century", 5 winners of the national outstanding youth fund and the chief scientist of the national "973" plan.
