Wuxi has many places to eat and play. This is a famous tourist city with many scenic spots.

But if you only go to Wuxi for one day, you must arrange your itinerary and experience the most distinctive food and play in Wuxi.

As a native of Wuxi, I sincerely recommend you to go to the most cost-effective place.

First of all, go to Wuxi in the morning, get out of the train station, take a bus or walk to Zhongshan Road, the most prosperous commercial street in Wuxi, which is very close to the train station. The main destinations are Chong'an Temple and Wuxi's famous snacks, including Wang steamed buns, snacks, and various traditional snacks and clothing stores, with Parkson and New World Department Store nearby.

Then you can walk all the way along Zhongshan Road to nanzenji, which is a bit like the Chenghuang Temple in Shanghai and the Confucius Temple in Nanjing. You can have lunch in Chong'an Temple or nanzenji, or both.

In the afternoon, I recommend you to visit Yuantouzhu. Wuxi is famous for its true mountains and waters, so the most beautiful place is "the best place in Taihu Lake, absolutely at the source". The ticket 100 is a little expensive, but I think it's more than the ticket 100 of Tang Cheng in San'guo City, or you can go to the Lingshan Giant Buddha if you believe in Buddhism.

On the way back, I will pass by Lihu New Town, which is the most beautiful and largest free leisure park in Wuxi. It stretches for several kilometers along Lihu Lake and is built by the lake, with picturesque scenery. There is also Lihu Central Park, and Lihu has a 100 meter fountain.
