White oil, also called white oil or liquid paraffin. A colorless, transparent, tasteless and fluorescent liquid oil. Insoluble in water, cold ethanol and glycerol, soluble in carbon disulfide, ether, chloroform, benzene and hot ethanol. Camphor, peppermint oil and musk can be dissolved in white oil.
