Centralized interlocking can be divided into mechanical centralized interlocking, electrical centralized interlocking and computer interlocking according to the different equipment used. The interlocking relationships among signals, turnouts and routes mainly include: the position of turnouts is incorrect, the routes are unclear, the routes are occupied by vehicles, and the signals protecting the routes can't open the permission signals.
Once the signal is turned on, the approach is locked and it is not allowed to change the position of the turnout on the approach. The protection signal of the hostile route (simultaneous establishment is not allowed) is also locked in the closed state.

Interlocking operation:
(1) When the relevant switch on the approach road is not opened in the correct position or the hostile signal is not closed, the signal protecting the approach road cannot be opened;
(2) After the protection route signal is turned on, the route switch can't be turned on, and its hostile signal can't be turned on;
(3) When the main signal is not on, the warning signal cannot be turned on, and when the outbound signal on the main line is not on, the inbound signal cannot display the main line passing signal;
(4) After the train or rolling stock enters the route, immediately turn off the protection route signal and prohibit other trains or rolling stock from entering again.
