Shops smaller than 300 need not be reported, and entertainment venues should be reported no matter how big they are. For general business purposes, you need two exits. See Code for Fire Protection of Buildings for details.

Class II buildings and Class C buildings with a single building area of more than 1500 square meters or a total area of more than 3,000 square meters need to be equipped with social sprinkler alarms, casinos with a building area of more than 300 square meters need to be equipped with automatic sprinkler alarms, and old and young fields with a building area of more than 500 square meters need to be equipped with automatic sprinkler alarms.

Relevant regulations

According to Item (2) of Article 2 of the Measures for the Administration of Construction Permit of Building Projects (OrderNo. 18 of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development), a construction project with an investment of less than 300,000 yuan or a construction area of less than 300 square meters may not apply for a construction permit.

Building (structure) projects include: construction, decoration and fitment of various buildings and their ancillary facilities, installation of supporting lines, pipelines and equipment, and construction of urban municipal infrastructure projects.
