It is an intangible cultural heritage recognized by Jiangsu Province and Xuzhou Municipal Government. Xuzhou is the hometown of Fuyang cuisine in China awarded by China Cuisine Association.

The Fuyang Festival in Peng Zu, Xuzhou is well-known and recognized as an intangible cultural heritage project by the governments of Jiangsu Province and Xuzhou City. Holding Fuyang Festival every year has also become a local folk traditional culture. Development of Fuyang Festival

In the summer of 2000, Yangtou Restaurant, the fifth township of Xutang in the south of Xiaoxian County, Anhui Province, planned Fuyang Festival, and displayed the signboard of "Fuyang Cultural Festival" in Xiaoxian County, China for the first time, which received positive response from other mutton restaurants. On July 1 1, 2002, Xuzhou held the first Fuyang Food Culture Festival, which was officially named Fuyang Festival. In 2003, the second Fuyang Festival in Xuzhou was organized spontaneously by the people.

In 2004, Xuzhou Cuisine Association officially took the lead in organizing the third Fuyang Festival, which attracted colleagues from nearly 10 cities such as Nanjing, Zhengzhou and Handan to participate in the Fuyang Festival. In 2005, the fourth Fuyang Festival was hosted by Xuzhou Municipal People's Government and began to operate in a market-oriented way. In 2006, the fifth Fuyang Festival in Xuzhou used the name "China (Xuzhou) Peng Zu Fuyang Festival", which has been used ever since.

In 2007, the 6th Fuyang Festival in Xuzhou was jointly supported by China Cuisine Association and Jiangsu Cuisine Association. In the same year, Xiaoxian County, Anhui Province held the first Fuyang Cultural Festival. Fuyang Festival was held in Yixian County, Liaoning Province.
