iLab is called "Fudan MBA Business Consulting Laboratory Project", which is a practical project opened by Fudan University MBA program in 2005 in the international MBA training program, and accounts for 3 credits in the international MBA curriculum system. Under the guidance of the teachers of Fudan School of Management, Fudan International MBA students work in small groups (3-5 persons/group) as external think tanks of the cooperative enterprises, starting from the needs of the enterprises, carrying out special consulting or research work around the development of the enterprises, helping the enterprises to analyze the actual problems and provide solutions and ideas, so as to help the development of the enterprises. In this process, students are able to apply the management theories learned in the classroom to business practices, and comprehensively enhance their ability to utilize management knowledge.

From 2005 to 2020, the Fudan MBA program has successfully conducted 261 iLab projects with 210 partner companies, including IBM, Intel, LG, Huawei, Portugal Telecom, ExxonMobil, Corning, Michelin China, CZ Group, Fosun Group, Yum Brands, McDonald's China, Burger King China, Popeyes, Laiyi Shian, Shangfang Group, Jingrui Holdings, Merck Sharp & Dohme, Pfizer, Sanofi, CICC, Dongcheng Capital Management, Dezhixin, Lane Crawford, Sephora, Cottey Group, VIPABC, Chaosung Group, Qinghui Management, Bosch, Volvo and other Chinese and foreign enterprises. The Fudan MBA iLab program covers internationalization strategy, market entry, corporate finance, marketing, competitor analysis, channel management, brand strategy, e-commerce, business model innovation, investment analysis, supply chain and public welfare projects.

The Fudan MBA Business Consulting Lab is divided into Local iLab and Global iLab.

Local iLab's consulting team is made up of Fudan IMBA students, and its cycle is one semester (March-June), providing solutions and ideas for domestic companies or multinational companies located in Shanghai.

Global iLab is divided into:

1. Fudan-MIT China Lab Fudan-MIT China Lab Program (in cooperation with MIT)

The program cycle is five months (January-May), and each business consulting team consists of four people, two MIT MBA students from Sloan School of Management and two Fudan MBA students providing professional consulting to SMEs. Participating companies include Corning Glass and Specialty Materials, Bosch Automotive Components, Laiyi, Oriental Fortune, VIPABC, Dow Corning, Hoho Information, Shanghai Electric Power Electronics, Medtronic, Shui On Real Estate, Foshan Technology, Raise3D, and ChingHui Management.

2. 3. Thailand-China Lab Thailand-China Business Consulting Lab Project (in cooperation with Chulalongkorn University, Thailand)

Started in the summer of 2011, with a cycle of eight weeks, the consulting team consists of three Fudan MBA students and three Lisbon MBA students, mainly providing consulting services for Portuguese companies to enter or expand into the Chinese market, or Chinese companies to enter or expand into the Portuguese market. The main purpose is to provide consulting services for Portuguese companies entering or expanding into the Chinese market, or Chinese companies entering or expanding into the Portuguese market. The students from both countries will work together for seven to eight weeks: the first two weeks will be spent in China, the next three to four weeks online, and the last two weeks in Portugal.

6. Wharton-Fudan Global Consulting Practice Program (2005-2017)
