why should we save food?
"Why does the country advocate saving food?" Because the food problem is of great significance, we can't take it lightly at any time. Let me talk about some personal views:
First, the food problem is related to social stability and national security. People are iron and rice is steel. If you don't eat a meal, you will be hungry. When food, as the most basic need of people, is not met, it is easy to intensify various social contradictions. At the same time, some hostile forces in the world are trying their best to attack our country from all sides, and their hearts will never die. Once there is a problem with food supply, some countries may take the opportunity to suppress our country and even do what Eight-Nation Alliance did in those years. Moreover, the grain production in many countries in the world is decreasing, which makes it difficult to import grain from abroad, and it is easy to be controlled by people. Therefore, saving food is really our top priority.
second, the arable land in rural areas has become less and less for various reasons. First of all, a large number of rural young adults go out to work, causing a large number of farmland and cultivated land to be barren; Secondly, the process of urbanization continues, which gradually reduces some farmland and cultivated land; Third, the construction of real estate also occupies a lot of land. The reduction of cultivated land in rural areas will inevitably lead to the reduction of grain. So how to change this situation? I think the most important thing is that the state should introduce more policies to encourage agricultural industrialization, so that young rural workers who work outside the home can return to the land and earn higher income than those who work outside the home. At the same time, the scale and layout of urbanization should be seriously considered; And we must strictly control the occupation of cultivated land by real estate.
Third, the phenomenon of food waste has become very shocking. Over the past 41 years of reform and opening-up, China's economic development has been really earth-shaking, and the people of China have become rich on the whole, but the fine tradition of thrift has not been well maintained. First of all, some people always like to talk about ostentation and extravagance in eating. For example, when they treat guests in luxury hotels, although there is still a lot of food left when they leave, they can pack it up and take it home, eat it after the next hot meal, but ignore it and finally throw it away as garbage. Secondly, some people lack planning in their home life. Obviously, only two or three people eat, but the food is greatly over-served. I couldn't finish it, but I didn't want to leave it for the next meal because of my health, so I threw it away.
in a word, it is necessary for the state to advocate food conservation, which is a big issue related to the long-term stability of the country, and each of us must take it seriously.
