Because we traveled with our kids, we didn't go to the wilderness. Instead, we went to some famous spots in Chengdu, to places that the kids would love.
Before we left home, we bought air tickets and booked accommodation online in advance. At first, I wanted to book a hotel. But I heard from a friend that you can experience a local B&B in Chengdu, which will be more cost-effective and suitable for a family. I tried it out and booked a panda-themed B&B on the Stay More app. The overall feeling is good, the children especially like.
This time I booked the pandahouse, which felt like Chengdu. The accommodation is in the center of the city, so it's easy to get around, and you can also see the beautiful night view of Chengdu. The most important thing is that the room is very popular with children, and there are cute pandas, so that his first stay is particularly warm. Price-wise, it's still quite affordable. 398 RMB per night. Let's take a look at the last few pictures:
Look, it's really exciting. There are a variety of BBs on the Multi-Stay app. the key is to determine your price, goals, and needs before choosing, so it's easier to choose.
Anyway, let me tell you about our trip.
Day 1: Chengdu Giant Panda Research Base - Wuhou Ancestral Temple - JinliOn our first day in Chengdu, the kid couldn't wait to see the giant pandas, so we immediately fulfilled his wish and set off early in the morning for Chengdu Giant Panda Research Base.
Chengdu Giant Panda Research Base
It's about a 40-minute drive outside of Chengdu's northeast third ring road. It's the world's largest giant panda theme park and the only place where you can see panda cubs. A taxi to the panda base is about 50 yuan. If you think a taxi is too expensive and public transportation is too much of a hassle, you can buy a one-day round-trip ticket that takes you directly to the scenic spot, and it's a round-trip, including the entrance fee.
Scenic area tickets: 58 yuan / person, scenic area sightseeing bus, one-way 10 yuan / person, and then on.
Open time: 07:30-18:00, open all year round.
Noteworthy:
1. The first floor lobby has a visitor service center, which can provide microwave heating, drinking hot water, baby carriages, wheelchairs, crutches, umbrellas, sewing kits and other convenient services. It is open to Chinese and foreign tourists free of charge.
2. The base has Zhu Yun Restaurant, Rose Garden Western Restaurant and Panda Café providing food and beverage services.
Please do not use flash when taking photos, especially of panda cubs, whose eyes are very sensitive to light and flash may harm them.
My feelings after visiting the panda base are:
1. You can see pandas in many zoos, but this is a special place to see them. Be sure to come.
2. To see the panda cubs, you can only queue up and take turns to see them, no lingering.
Besides seeing the pandas, the panda base also has a pleasant view, so you can wander around more.
After visiting the panda base, it was basically around 2pm. We took a cab back to the city and visited Wuhou Temple and Jinli. These two places are actually together and very close to each other.
Wuhou Ancestral Temple
The Wuhou District in Chengdu, Sichuan Province began when Liu Bei Huiling built the city in 223 AD. It is the only temple in China where monarchs and ministers **** sacrifice, the most famous memorial site for Zhuge Liang, Liu Bei and the heroes of Shu Han, and the most influential museum of cultural relics of the Three Kingdoms in China. it was announced by the State Council as the first batch of national key cultural relics protection units in 1961, and was selected as the first batch of first-grade national-level museums in 2008.
The entrance fee to the Hou Shrine is 30 yuan per person, honoring Zhuge Liang, Liu Bei, Zhang Fei, Guan Yu and other figures. Huiling is Liu Bei's burial mound with beautiful scenery and bonsai. After buying the ticket, you can scan the QR code on the ticket. After connecting to Wifi, there will be self-service audio explanation for each attraction.
Du Fu described the scenery of the Wuhou Temple as spring grass staining the steps and birds singing. In particular, the area around the red wall outside Huiling City can be considered the most representative scenery of Wuhou Ancestral Temple. Slate Street, Zhu Hong wall, Jilin travel network, bamboo poles constitute a bright landscape, walking underneath refreshing and comfortable.
[Jinli]
Jinli consists of a large expanse of antique buildings in the late Qing Dynasty architectural style, with a large number of famous bars and restaurants. It is the oldest and most commercialized street in the history of Western Sichuan and can be considered a must-see attraction in Chengdu. People like to come to Jinli at night because it is undoubtedly bright at night and there are lots of good food.
In Jinli, we chose to have a hot pot meal. After all, we came to Chengdu and we must taste the authentic Chengdu flavor. We chose the Dragon Hidden Door Hot Pot (Jinli Main Store) next to the Wuhou Temple for about 80 RMB.
The store is clean and hygienic, and the hot pot base tastes good. Fresh beef and fine fresh tripe are 26 RMB a plate, fine fat beef rolls are 25 RMB a plate, and the very best fresh tripe is 28 RMB a plate. Prices are affordable, you can buy vouchers from Volkswagen Dianping, it's quite a good deal.
Of course, Jinli also has Zhangfei beef, stick chicken and other snacks, mainly depending on personal preference.
The next day: Chengdu Haichang Polar Ocean Park - Broad and Narrow AlleyThe next day, we chose to go to the Ocean Park, because the kids especially like the sea creatures. When they didn't reach a place, they had to clock in at the Ocean Park.
