wangjiang tower park was built here in the Ming and Qing Dynasties to commemorate Xue Tao, a famous poetess in the Tang Dynasty.
Xue Tao was born in Chang 'an (now Xi 'an, Shaanxi).
living in Shu with his father, he has been smart and eager to learn since childhood.
after his father's death, he was enrolled in a music book at the age of fifteen because of his poor family.
she was good at poetry and prose, and was proficient in melody, which won the appreciation of Wei Gao, then our envoy to Xichuan, and she was able to go in and out of the government. She used to be a school bookkeeper and was called a school book for girls.
According to records, Xue Tao has 511 poems, and other famous poets at the same time, such as Yuan Zhen, Bai Juyi, Ling Huchu, Pei Du, Du Mu, Liu Yuxi, Zhang Ji, all admired her very much and wrote poems to sing for each other.
It's a pity that most of these poems are lost, and only 91 poems have survived.
Most of the ground in the park is covered with bamboo forests. Because Xue Tao loves bamboo all his life, he often inspires himself with the virtue of bamboo's "vigor and wonder, modesty and self-control". Later generations planted all kinds of fine bamboos in the park, which became a place where famous bamboos gather in China, also known as "Bamboo Park" or "Jincheng Bamboo Garden".
There are more than 151 kinds of bamboos in the garden, not only famous bamboos from Sichuan, but also rare bamboos from southern provinces of China, Japan and Southeast Asia.
The main varieties are Bambusa gigantea, Bambusa bambusa, Bambusa gigantea, Bambusa gigantea, Bambusa bambusa, Bambusa huqinzhu, Maizhu and solid bamboo.
