Seaside College of Beijing Jiaotong University was established in May, 2008, which is an independent college in cooperation with Beijing Jiaotong University and Ronghe (Huanghua) Science and Education Co. It is an independent college founded by BJTU in cooperation with Ronghe (Huanghua) Science and Education Co. It is the only full-time undergraduate college organized by BJTU outside Beijing and the only independent college approved to be established in Hebei Province after the promulgation of Decree No. 26 of the Ministry of Education. The establishment of the college rewrites the history of no undergraduate-level higher education in Cangzhou, Hebei Province, and has a special location advantage and an important demonstration role in the layout of higher education in Hebei Province, and is a vivid example of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei synergistic development in the field of education.
Beijing Jiaotong University is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education, built by the Ministry of Education, China Railway Corporation and the Beijing Municipal People's Government***, and it is the first university in China to be constructed under the national "211 Project" and "985 Project Advantageous Discipline Innovation Platform" programs, as well as the first national university with a graduate school.
