Three-day tour of Macao
A three-day trip to Macao has plenty of time. I have been to many places, so I can swim slowly and savor the charm of Macao as a small European city.

Largo do cenado

The front of the discussion pavilion was built at 1784. Local residents also call this place a fountain. Since the opening of the port, the pavilion has always been the center of Macao, and the buildings on both sides were built at the end of 19 and the beginning of the 20th century. 1993 the qiandi area is paved with black and white macadam ground and wavy patterns, which set off the colorful cultural relics around it, giving the qiandi area a strong southern European style.

Home affairs department building

The Civil Affairs Department Building is the most prominent Portuguese-style building in Macao, which was completed in 1789 and has obvious architectural artistic characteristics in southern Europe. In the underground lobby of Macao Civil Affairs Department and the stone wall leading to the second floor, there are blue Portuguese tiles and stone carvings with historical records.

Guiya fortress

Dongwangyang Fort, located at the top of Dongwangyang Mountain (Songshan Mountain), is the highest point of Macao Peninsula. Built between 1637 and 1638, it is located at an altitude of 93 meters. At first, Songshan Fort was mainly used to defend against foreign invasion and as an observation station. Built in 1626, the Snow Temple of the Virgin Mary on the battery looks like a small church dedicated to the Virgin Mary in the Portuguese countryside in17th century. During the recent renovation, rare murals in southern China were found in the church. These murals combine the characteristics of Chinese and western cultures and have high artistic value. There is an ancient clock on the right side of the church, which is used to tell the time and inform all nearby ships to approach. The ancient clock was cast in 1707 and recast in1June 824.

Wang Xi Yangshan Tang Sheng

Because the magnificent Bishop's Mansion is on the mountain, it is also called Bishop's Hill. There is a Notre Dame Cathedral next to the Bishop's house, which was built in 1622. There is a big stone statue of the Virgin Mary in front of Notre Dame, facing the sea, with a solemn and kind name. The church bell tower is towering, solemn and visible far and near, and it is a symbol of Macao West Bay. Wang Xi Yangshan used to be a dangerous fortress, where you can not only enjoy Australia? The bridge spans the harbor and overlooks the scenery of Chinese mainland.

Mazhou lane

Mami statue, located at the top of Dieshi Hall, the highest point in Macau, was completed on 1998128 October, and was designed by Mr. Liang Wanping, Dean of China Painting Academy in Macau. It is the tallest Mami statue in the world, with a height of 19.99 meters, symbolizing Macao 1999.

Ma Zhou statue is made of 120 pieces of white marble, weighing more than 500 tons. Among them, the face is carved from a complete piece of white marble, crystal clear and white, with a kind face, overlooking the sea of Macao, as if always paying attention to the fate of Macao. The statue of Ma Zhou has become the latest landscape and symbol of Macao.

Mazu cultural village

The main building of Mazu Cultural Village is Tianhou Palace. Its architectural style is designed and built according to the traditional regulations of ancient architecture in China. It is a tourist facility that integrates the art, religion, folklore, culture and leisure values of ancient buildings in southern Fujian.

Tianhou Palace lives at the top of Dieshitang Mountain in the road ring, covering an area of about 7,000 square meters. The whole building consists of four buildings: aisle, pavilion gate, altar, main hall and dressing room. There are bell towers, drum towers and north-south corridors on both sides of the building.

Besides Tianhou Palace, there are also Peak Park and Mazu Statue to visit.

Historical archives room

Collect a large number of letters, books and manuscripts about Portuguese overseas exploration, Macao and Europe, China, Japan and Southeast Asian countries about government, city, religion and people, among which the historical materials from 1587 to 1786 are most preserved on microfilm.

The historical archives is located in a row of typical European-style buildings, which was built in the early 20th century, opposite the Tashi Stadium on Holland Park Avenue. These two-story buildings were rebuilt and won the 1982 Pacific Asia Tourism Association Cultural Relics Award.

Lu Lin International Exhibition Center Garden

It was built by a wealthy businessman in the19th century and is his private property. Later, due to the decline of his family, the ownership was transferred. The government reopened the garden to tourists on 1974.

According to the landscape design of Suzhou, this park is the most characteristic park in China (especially in the south of the Yangtze River) in Macau. There are bamboo groves and rockeries, lotus ponds and willows, waterfalls and odd terraces in the park. In addition, there are the famous Jiuqu Bridge and the cloister modeled after the Summer Palace in Beijing, which are the must-see places for tourists who like quiet and garden scenery.

Fusaiji (Kannonji)

Kannonji, commonly known as Fusaiji, was built in the late Ming Dynasty more than 360 years ago. It is said that a temple was built in its present site 600 years ago. * * * in Kannonji, there are three temples, in which there are historical exhibits such as the Buddha statue of Sakyamuni, an ancient bronze bell with a history of three and a half centuries, and eighteen arhats (one of which is believed to be the statue of arhat Kael).

Kannonji is not only the largest and oldest temple in Macau, but also the place where the Wang Xia Treaty was signed between China and the United States. The Wang Xia Treaty is one of the unequal treaties in China's modern history and the first treaty signed between China and the United States.

A granite table and four feldspar benches in the back garden are the places where the Qing government and American representatives signed the Wang Xia Treaty in 1844.

Bodaiji

Bodhi Buddha Temple is the largest temple in Dazai, and its architecture is very magnificent. There is a bronze statue of Sakyamuni Buddha in the Buddhist temple, which is an imitation of the Tang Dynasty. The lotus base is 5.4 meters high and weighs about 6 tons. It is the largest Buddha statue in Macao at present.

San Francesco Tang Sheng

It was built in 1928 to commemorate the missionary San Francesco. The missionary died in Shangchuan Island near the roundabout on 1552. The temple is located in Luhuan village, with a milky yellow exterior wall and a bell tower at the top, which is full of Portuguese color. The area of the church is not large. In a room on the right side of the shrine, there are San Francesco's arm bones and the remains of a group of martyrs, including Portuguese and Japanese martyrs persecuted in Nagasaki in 1597, and the remains of some Vietnamese killed in17th century. These remains are now placed in the religious art museum behind St. Paul's Cathedral. There is a monument outside San Francesco Church, surrounded by shells, to commemorate the successful expulsion of pirates by the residents of the road ring in 19 10, and to designate July of 13 as Island City Day to commemorate it.

You can visit any of the above scenic spots in three days, and choose the nearest one you like.

In addition, Macao's food is very rich and famous, so you must try it. Here is a brief introduction:

Portuguese cuisine

Tasting Portuguese food in Macao is like being in southern Europe. Moreover, Portuguese food in Macao can be divided into Portuguese food and authentic Macao food. However, most Portuguese restaurants in Macao cook authentic Macao Portuguese food. These dishes can be said to be chinese odyssey. They combine the cooking techniques of Portuguese, Indian, Malaysian and China (especially Guangdong) dishes, and take care of the oriental tastes.

The most famous authentic Portuguese dish is Ma Jiexiu (Portuguese favorite salted cod). This kind of fish can be roasted, roasted, braised or roasted in different ways. Other famous Portuguese foods include red bean pig's hand, oxtail or oxbreast and green vegetable soup. This vegetable soup is made of mashed potatoes, Portuguese sausages, lettuce and olive oil (the essential ingredients of Portuguese food), and its taste is different.

In addition, the Portuguese learned food cooking skills from Africa and India and created African chickens with rich spices. There is also Portuguese chicken, which can only be eaten in Macao. It is a delicious food, which is baked with chicken, potatoes, onions, eggs and saffron and curry that is not spicy. Speaking of curry food, it is worth mentioning that curry crab is a delicious food not to be missed.

Macau gourmet raiders

Macao can be described as a combination of Japanese, Korean and Thai cuisines. In addition, there are music bars and Portuguese cafes. The most attractive things are authentic local Portuguese food and special snacks of various snack bars, among which Portuguese egg tarts are the most famous.

The food in Macao Island is mainly concentrated in Sandeng District, Xinma Road, in front of the Chamber, Dasanba and Dasha Road. Taizai is famous for its seafood and traditional snacks in the old city, and it is concentrated in ——Rua do Cunha, Taizai's food street. There is a delicious barbecue on the black beach and the old cake shop of Mr. Andrew, the founder of Portuguese egg tart.

1. Three Lamps District area, also known as "Jialumier Round Ground", is named because there is a street lamp in the center of the round ground, which radiates in all directions with the surrounding alleys as the center. Sandeng District, with many specialties from Southeast Asian countries, is the most famous "Yaxin Myanmar Restaurant" in Feineng Convenience Street.

2. Xinma Road-the area in front of the discussion pavilion-Dasanba-Dama Road covers the main tourist areas in Macao, and there are many famous time-honored brands, such as Princess Margaret, Yishun Milk Company, Pan Rongji's "egg-reducing" money cakes and Huangzhiji porridge noodle experts!

First, snacks

Macao snacks are definitely a special landscape on the streets of Macao. Strolling along the stone street that combines ancient and modern times, the attractive fragrance and rich and varied food in the restaurant will definitely increase your appetite. Crispy and sweet egg tarts, white and smooth stewed milk and juicy pork buns are all your best choices.

Recommended: Andrew egg tart

Andrew, English, former restaurant manager of Hyatt Regency Macau. 1989, he found a delicious dessert in a small town near Lisbon, Portugal, which is said to have been invented by a local nun. After returning to Macau, Andrew devoted himself to research, combined this dim sum with English egg tarts, and created his own "Macau Portuguese Tart" by means of Cantonese milk stew: a multi-layer crispy flowerpot-shaped cake tray was filled with cream and eggs, and dark brown caramel was placed on it, which was slightly sweet but not greasy. After the successful research on egg tart, Andrew resigned in the same year and opened a cake shop. "Andrew Egg Tart" quickly became popular in Macau and spread to Hongkong, Taiwan Province and other parts of Asia. In Taiwan Province Province, people created an "economic miracle" of eating 2 million Andrew egg tarts in a month. There is also a saying circulating in Macao. Someone said, "You have never been to Macau without eating egg tarts."

Andrew is cold and low-key. Although he is famous in Macao, he still likes to go to the old shop every day to take care of everything. He doesn't like being interviewed by reporters, but he is happy to greet customers and take pictures as a souvenir. He also likes to take his dog Lulu for a walk around the island. Unfortunately, Andrew, who was in his fifties, died in June 2006.

Today, the location of Andrew's bakery has become a famous tourist attraction. The nearby cake shops, beautiful churches and ancient Taoist temples attracted crowds of tourists and brought the story of this Macao dessert to all directions.

Magalepta

When it comes to Andrew's egg tart, we can't help mentioning Andrew's wife, Tang Zhihui (Margaret). Ms. Tang is from Macao. At that time, she and Andrew joined hands to conquer the world. It's a pity that nature plays tricks on people. 1997, once lovers parted ways, and their "egg tart business" was also divided into two parts: Andrew continued to run an old shop around the island, and Ms. Tang went to Macau Peninsula to run the "Margaret" egg tart house. Two people across the sea, the significance of singing to Taiwan Province is self-evident. Although they have the same taste, the "Margaret" egg tart house has a coffee stall, which is more romantic.

Ms. Tang also sold this recipe to KFC, a fast food giant, and now the "Portuguese egg tart" of KFC chain store in Chinese mainland is made with this recipe.

Transportation: Walking out of the main road of Taiziyin, I saw a row of gold shops in the alley behind them (parallel to them).

Recommended: Yishun Milk Company

The milk stew shop, located next to Pavilion Square, is a local time-honored brand in Macau, with a history of over 1.50 years, and now it has been operating for the fifth generation. At first, the boss's family owned a ranch, from raising cattle and milking to selling it to today's stew shop. It is said that in order to make the fresh milk for stewing milk more mellow, cows are excellent breeds specially introduced from Europe and Australia. Specially recommend two signature desserts, "famous double-skin stewed milk" and "clever ginger juice bumping milk". Although it looks unremarkable, it is tender and fragrant and unforgettable.

Recommended: pig bag.

The pork bun from Italy is full of weight, delicious, refreshing and sweet, with strong but not greasy pork flavor, crisp outside and tender inside, which makes people memorable. Therefore, in the hot summer, diners come from afar and wait in line for a freshly baked pork bun in the scorching sun. The pork buns here are baked from 3 pm to 4 pm every day. The limit is 500 on weekdays and about 800 on holidays. It's gone if you come late. Please come early tomorrow!

It is understood that the uniqueness of Italian pork bun lies in that it uses an old wood stove for baking. In order to keep the quality and freshness, the shopkeeper only prepares just enough bread ingredients to bake a furnace every day. The pork chops selected are bone chops (clean pork chops are generally used in workshops). Pork chops are characterized by moderate fat and thin, marinated with exclusive spices, and fried after loosening the bones. Pork chops are fried to rosin, and the outer layer is served with bread baked in a charcoal stove. They can be eaten together with pork chops, which can absorb some oil and make them crisp outside and tender inside.

Usually, Italian cafes are packed. In tea time on holidays, there will be a large number of diners waiting in front of the store, because besides pork buns, you can also choose pork chop noodles, rice noodles or pork chop toast, as well as curry squid and curry fish eggs.

Other snacks:

Book of Rites Ice Cream

Very simple packaging, but it has a beautiful taste. The craftsmanship handed down from generation to generation by the store is so natural and mellow without adding any flavors and accessories! Open every day 13: 00, first come, first served, while stocks last.

In Macao, everyone knows about ritual ice cream, which has been homemade for more than 60 years. Attractive red bean ice cream, fragrant coconut ice cream, granular red bean ice cream, large ice cream brick, special ice cream sandwich, special banana boat … The ice cream produced by Book of Rites has one thing in common, that is, it brings people satisfaction and happiness. If you want to find back the leisurely style of the ice room in the 1960s and 1970s and the unforgettable taste of traditional ice cream, you might as well try the Book of Rites ice cream when you go to Macau during the holiday.

There are several large ice cream refrigerators in the Book of Rites ice cream shop, which are filled with more than ten kinds of ice cream, most of which are traditional fruit flavors. They are all freshly made in the workshop of Book of Rites every day. Ice cream is made of seasonal fruits, 100% raw materials, without adding pigments and spices, which makes ice cream have natural fragrance and taste. Coconut, taro and mango are the most popular fruit flavors. I tried its newly developed peanut flavor, which is as sweet as eating peanut butter.

Eating the ice cream in the Book of Rites will make you feel that its texture is thicker than other ice creams on the market, and some people may think it is not smooth enough. But it is this method that makes the ice cream in the Book of Rites "not melt", and makes the eater sigh slowly to the last bite, still eating ice cream instead of drinking ice cream water, which is also a major feature of the ice cream in the Book of Rites.

"Mo Yi Ji" big cake:

Exquisite and slippery vegetable cakes, imported from QQ, are the favorite of Macao people to cool off! And "Moggi" is a famous century-old shop! There are many famous authentic snacks in Macau, and the most distinctive one is Mo Yi's Story by Tai Tsai. Mo Yiji has been managing Chinese cuisine cakes in Macau for more than 50 years.

After years of trying, Mr. Mo has constantly improved the big cakes to make them more diversified in taste. "Rongji tofu noodle restaurant"

Rongji Tofu Noodle Restaurant is located in the most famous antique street in Macau. The Portuguese President visited it at 1999. It's a 30-year-old shop that has been handed down for two generations. It insists on making tofu flowers in the traditional way and can sell more than 300 bowls of tofu flowers every day. Rongji's tofu flower is spicy, fragrant, cold and sweet. You can try a bowl when you visit the antique street.

As you can imagine, a bowl of simple tofu pudding can attract the praise of foreign leaders.

"Six Records" Red Bean Cake

No matter how fried, you won't feel greasy when you bite it in your mouth. Perhaps this is the mystery of ancestral craftsmanship. ...

Six pieces of red bean cakes are only sold in winter. After the Book of Rites, I went to the Sanba archway, opened a red bean cake shop for more than 40 years, and constantly fried crispy red bean cakes, which made people want to stop. This red bean cake was taken over by the second generation, but it is only sold every winter. From the Mid-Autumn Festival to May and June next year, the delicious red bean cake evokes many childhood memories of Macao people. Each one only sells 3 yuan, and the red bean cake stuffing is made by the secret recipe of our ancestors. After the dough was fried in lard, the whole dough was soaked. The locals say that the red bean cake stuffing is very sweet, but it is actually very sweet.

"Liu Yang beef porridge"

The real folk delicacy was born in this seemingly inconspicuous stall, and the soft and rotten beef offal was lying in the rice congee, which was so comfortable. ...

A very ordinary shop, but because of a bowl of beef offal porridge ($7.50), many other people went to this cross-lane shop to look for delicious food. The beef offal is fresh, and the porridge that the local people pay special attention to is very slippery, which is enough to make this bowl of porridge get full marks. If you want to be slick, don't let go of the bullwhip, feet and ladder.

This old shop has been open for nearly 40 years. Thick rice porridge soup base is made by boiling beef offal in a clay pot, and adding 10 kinds of Chinese herbal medicines and unique ingredients, which removes the fishy smell of beef offal and increases the unique flavor, so it can better show the delicacy of the soup, and finally sprinkle chopped green onion to enhance the taste.

Huang Zhi Ji Mianjia

It has a long history. Wonton Noodles is a special place. Wonton is full and shrimp is elastic. It's really rare. Just take a bite and talk about it. Shrimp noodles are another skill. The bamboo tube noodles are very thin and chewy, and a lot of shrimps are sprinkled on the noodles, so the whole chewing process is particularly crispy.

Macau calligraphy:

The pace of life of Macao people is much slower than that of Hong Kong people, which makes them insist on food. For tourists who have just arrived in Macao, Portuguese cuisine is of course an inevitable choice, but what is more interesting is the traditional cuisine that is not easy to find in Guangzhou. Like almond cake, beef jerky, lard cake, shortcake, ginger candy, peanut candy and so on, Macao people call these things both snacks and gifts, collectively referred to as "handwritten letters".

There are dozens of "handwritten letter" shops on the cross-shaped pony road in Qingpingzhi Street and Longfuxin Street, which are called "handwritten letter" streets. Sidewalks, large and small, are filled with specialty foods, ranging from boxed almond cakes and bulk beef jerky to plums, lemons and bazhen fruits weighed in glass jars. Tourists wander between shops, usually with big bags and small bags, and return with full loads.

Among hundreds of "calligraphy" brands in Macau, Daji and Zui Xiang Garden are the two biggest brands. Zui Xiang Garden is a time-honored brand, and Daji started by pushing customers to sell peanut candy and ginger candy. Seven branches have been opened in tiny Macao, which can be said to be all over the street. Macao people have an almost stubborn attitude towards the production of traditional food. Many delicacies are made and sold immediately, and they are all processed by human hands. I can only remember the scene when I was a child.

Recommended places to buy handwritten letters in Macau:

1. Qingpingzhi Street and Longfuxin Street

2. Big Sanba Street

3.Taipa Rua do Cunha
