At present, the Department of Shipbuilding Engineering has two majors (professional directions): marine engineering technology and marine engineering technology (yacht design and manufacturing). The head of the department is headed by Associate Professor Sun Wenzhi, one of the founders of the specialty of "Fishing Boat Design and Manufacture" in Dalian Ocean University. Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering

The Department of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering was formerly the electrical automation technology major of the Department of Ship Engineering.
